The King Oyster mushroom grows well on a sawdust substrate. It is an excellent contender as a companion fungi for your garden as it will fruit from a horizontal surface such as grow bed of layered cardboard and woodchip. This could be applied as mulch around certain plants in particular fruit bushes and trees. The King Oyster also grows well on hemp straw.

Description: 200g of King Oyster (Pleurotus Eryngii) mushroom grain spawn. Carefully cultivated in our off-grid mushroom laboratory and processing unit in the Brecon Beacons, Wales.

Our 200g bags of grain spawn are 3rd generation spawn cultures. There is often no guarantee of the vitality of the mushroom spawn offered online with  the possibility of the grain spawn you receive having been expanded through many generations. However, we can guarantee that our grain spawn is 3rd generation and ideal for the purpose of inoculating a growing substrate.

Directions for Use: The King Oyster mushroom is a species that lend itself to horizontal garden bed style of growing. This 200g of spawn is ideal for inoculating a growing substrate of, up to 2kg, such as hemp straw or hardwood sawdust.
